For Fun

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

Little Women is a classic children's story, transcending the boundaries of time and age, and it is as popular with adults as it is with young readers. The March girls' beloved story reflects the tension between cultural obligation and artistic and personal freedom, themes that are still just as relevant today as they were in 1868. Which of the four March sisters can you relate with the most? The independent, tomboyish Jo? The delicate, loving Beth? The pretty, kind Meg? Or precocious and artistic Amy? The charming story of these four "little women" and their wise and patient mother, Marmee, was an instant success when first published and has been adored for generations.
